About me and my blog
Hi! I'm Arnold, a former Structural Research Engineer, Methodist Minister and Evangelical Church Pastor. I was also a professional Software Developer, the Managing Director of a domestic cleaning company, and an Assistant Groundsman. After serving God for two years in southern Chile I founded the charity Chile for Christ. Now I'm an Author. You can read about my published books here.
I'm married to Ann, whom I met at Bristol University and have loved ever since. We have four grown-up children and two lovely grandchildren. I live in High Wycombe, England.

My interests past and present include climbing lots of mountains in a day, singing and acting in amateur musicals, playing the 'cello, and trying to find a Midsomer Murders episode that I haven't already seen. Oh! And I have a scene from Narnia in my house which can be reached only through the back of a wardrobe.

I believe that the Bible is the true word of the God whom it reveals to us, and I accept fully and literally the historic creeds of the Christian Church. I also believe that Christ's return is very close. I often disagree with popular beliefs, even those of many church-goers, and I'm not always polictically correct, so be warned!

I'm writing this blog to share my thoughts in the hope that you'll find them thought-provoking, instructive and helpful. Most of the entries will be Bible-related, but they might instead be about nutrition, current affairs, or anything else. I'll also report any significant developments in my book writing.

If you'd like me to tell you whenever I've posted something new, click on the email icon in the header, or the RSS one if you use RSS. I'll try to write a new post once a week, so you won't be inundated.

Please give my blog a try and let me know what you think! Respectful comments and contributions are welcome.
